[:it]Società Italiana Brevetti ha vinto il premio Managing IP Award Italy Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year 2021 per i risultati conseguiti durante l’ultimo anno nel deposito e nella tutela dei brevetti a livello nazionale e internazionale.

Durante la cerimonia virtuale del 30 marzo 2021 la nostra Responsabile area brevetti Elisabetta Papa ha ringraziato Managing IP, il nostro team brevetti e i clienti SIB per questo riconoscimento.

Il premio Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year riconosce l’eccellenza nel deposito e nella prosecuzione di brevetti dinanzi all’Ufficio Italiano Brevetti e Marchi (UIBM) e all’Ufficio europeo dei brevetti (EPO).

SIB si è inoltre distinta per il ruolo svolto a sostegno di importanti iniziative dei propri clienti nell’ultimo anno.

Abbiamo fornito consulenza e assistenza a una società leader nei prodotti per la sicurezza, anticontraffazione e tracciabilità sugli aspetti della proprietà intellettuale legati alla produzione di maschere protettive anti-COVID19; abbiamo rappresentato un istituto di ricerca, e una società nel settore della diagnostica, nella tutela della proprietà intellettuale e in altri aspetti legali riguardanti un innovativo test rapido per COVID19; abbiamo ottenuto vittorie in opposizioni attive e passive per clienti nel settore life science.

Managing IP ha commentato così l’assegnazione del premio a SIB: “La pandemia ha presentato delle sfide enormi alle imprese in tutto il mondo. I professionisti della proprietà intellettuale hanno risposto con dedizione e creatività, e siamo lieti di premiare i risultati ottenuti.”

Questo è il secondo anno consecutivo in cui SIB ottiene il titolo di Italy Firm of the Year: l’anno scorso siamo stati insigniti del premio Italy Trademark Prosecution Firm of the Year 2020.

During the virtual ceremony broadcast live on 30 March 2021, our Head of Patents Elisabetta Papa accepted the award and thanked Managing IP, our patents team and SIB clients for this achievement.

The Patent Prosecution award recognizes outstanding work in filing and prosecuting patents before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) and the European Patent Office (EPO).

SIB was commended for acting in a number of important matters for clients during the past year.

These included advising a security and minting company on the IP issues around the production of masks to support the efforts to tackle COVID-19; representing a research institute and a diagnostic company on IP protection and other legal issues concerning their rapid COVID-19 testing products; and succeeding in offensive and defensive patent oppositions for clients in the manufacturing and life science sectors.

Managing IP said: “The pandemic has posed big challenges for businesses worldwide. IP practitioners have responded with diligence and imagination, and we are delighted to recognise some of their achievements at this year’s Managing IP Awards.”

This is the second successive year the firm’s work has been recognized at the Managing IP Awards. In 2020, it was named Trademark Prosecution Firm of the Year.
