[:it]Il Tribunale unificato dei brevetti, che avrà giurisdizione sui brevetti unitari e sui brevetti europei, secondo le previsioni aprirà i battenti entro la metà del 2016.
Un’ottima opportunità per chi è interessato ad approfondire procedure e prassi del nuovo tribunale è offerta dal “Mock Trial della Unified Patent Court” in programma a Roma il 21 aprile 2016.
Organizzato dal Centre d’Études Internationales de la Proprieté Intellectuelle (CEIPI), in collaborazione con l’American Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA) e con SIB Società Italiana Brevetti, il Mock Trial simula l’udienza (Oral hearing) di una ipotetica divisione locale italiana del Tribunale unificato dei brevetti in un procedimento per contraffazione di un brevetto europeo con riconvenzionale di nullità.
Il caso analizzato, relativo a un dispositivo biomedicale impiantabile, è tratto da quello sviluppato per lo European Patent Judges Forum del 2011 e per il Training Program for Technically Qualified Judges del CEIPI.

An interesting opportunity to experience the procedures and practice of the new court is offered by the UPC Mock Trial that will take place in Rome on 21 April 2016.
Organised by the Centre d’Études Internationales de la Proprieté Intellectuelle (CEIPI) with the American Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA) and SIB Società Italiana Brevetti, the Mock Trial will simulate an oral hearing before a hypothetical local Italian division of the UPC in proceedings for counterfeiting of a European patent with nullity counterclaim.
The case to be examined, concerning a biomedical implantable device, is taken from the one developed for the European Patent Judges Forum of 2011 and for the CEIPI’s Training Program for Technically Qualified Judges.
The event’s language is Italian, interpreting service is available upon request.
