rel=\"noopener\">Italian Law No. 34\/2019<\/a> &#8211; in force since 30 June 2019 &#8211; has confirmed <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sib.info\/e\/t?q=4%3dHaCZ%263%3dUFZ%265%3daBW%266%3dWAaJa%265%3d9ANzJ_9ucq_J5_2rjt_B7_9ucq_I07ND.HyI454KzPk.0A_Latg_VpL9C-260_Latg_VpoIp3_IhwZ_TwO2E_9uc2r5kq_J5x09_Latg_WkJA54F_9ucq_J5n6tLoK6.Fo8x9_2rjt_C2IdAZ-QX-Ca_9ucq_J6CU!CCq_IhwZ_Tu%268%3d%26sJ%3dHcFR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Legislative Decree No. 34\/2019<\/a> which had recently introduced an important change in the procedure to obtain an <a href=\"https:\/\/sib.arvis.dev\/en\/patents\/inventions-insights\/patents\/italian-patents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian patent<\/a> via an international PCT application.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the only way to obtain patent protection in Italy by means of an international PCT application was via a European patent which would then be validated in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>By amending the Italian Industrial Property Code, the new legislation has now also made it possible to <strong>obtain an Italian patent via an international PCT application by opening an Italian national phase directly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This simplification brings obvious advantages, including a reduction of time and cost.<\/p>\n<p>However, before the new provision can take effect further implementation
